Caiques At Play

Cindi says that Maggie is very strong willed;into everything. He pretty much owns the house. Sadie is a very sweet loving Gold Cap Conure. She is definitely the follower between the two. Sadie admires Maggie, so whatever trouble Maggie gets into Sadie is sure to follow. They sleep in separate cages because Maggie really does tire Sadie out because they are together all day long. Maggie and Sadie are a good example of how Caiques can get along with other species. However, we need to remember that Caiques can be VERY aggressive toward other parrots. I wish Cleo could wrestle around with Gypsy like this. Cleo wants to, but Gypsy is skittish of this type of play. I don't know if it is because she is a sun conure, or if it is because Cleo took a chunk of flesh off of Gypsy's toe when Gypsy first came into the family. It took several months for Cleo to warm up to Gypsy, and for Gypsy to forgive (I don't know if she has forgotten).
